The best. I used to soak die casts in acetone overnight and scrub them, I felt like such a chump when I used the aircraft remover stuff for the first time.

That's actually what I wrote at first and then changed it. Is there a year of manufacture on the base? I have to find one of these. I'm not much of a 911 fan but I love the targa and had no idea that one was ever made.

Thanks for the extra pics. A quick google search tells me that it’s from 1996 and is based on a former Corgi casting. Nice to know its a 911 SC, my favorite vintage of Targa.

And where do you come across something like that?
I'm not exactly a collector, but if I come across something I find interesting I'll snap it up, new or used. I wouldn't mind tracking down some of the ones I had as a kid, but the prices that collectors are asking can be a bit much at times.
